Our client is seeking a strategic Finance Manager with a hands-on approach focused on Commercial support. He/She is responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and sound commercial advice to the executive team in order to drive business performance. This individual acts as a liaison between finance, sales, marketing and operations leadership and is an active participant in the designing and implementation of business initiatives aimed at continued growth. This is a highly visible and expansive role supporting the Senior Director of Finance, CFO, CCO & the entire Executive Team. Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the
Position:
Hands on approach to develop, maintain, and own financial models, dashboards, reports, and analyses to support the achievement of business objectives. Introduce data to add value to the sales conversation, customer experience and business priorities. Provide financial and commercial advice to key stakeholders driving financial performance through commercially sound decision making and analysis. Participate in the planning and on-going management of sales territories including the management of account assignments. Proactively identify and explore opportunities for sales process continuous improvement, facilitate implementing changes and help drive enablement efforts. Manage organization’s Sales Compensation program, ensuring timely and accurate payouts in accordance with compensation plans. Manage and optimize the integration between various systems and Salesforce.com. Manage organization’s Corporate Accounts rebates, ensuring timely and accurate payouts in accordance with contractual agreements. Participate in cross functional Kaizen initiatives to challenge existing processes and identify data silos or inconsistencies to drive improvements increasing efficiency and accuracy of forecast and reporting. Partner with the Segment and Corporate Accounting teams during the month-end close process to identify and explain actual versus forecast, budget, and prior year variances. Assist FP&A leadership with preparing and reviewing financial packages and presentations for executive management, the Board of Directors, and external reporting. Act as a key liaison and partner to cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, Sales, Accounting, IT, Supply Chain, Treasury, and other teams to understand business drivers and reporting requirements to drive scalable analysis and insights. Contribute to forecast, budget, and long-range planning cycles by coordinating with stakeholders to gather data and produce models for assumptions and inputs.

A successful Commercial Finance Manager is able to recognize and adjust to change, create disciplined processes, and act as an independent decision maker who will utilize team collaboration. Drive automation by providing input and collaborating to improve the company’s financial processes, models, and systems. Participate in ad hoc analysis and special projects as necessary from Senior Leadership. Maintain confidentiality regarding company programs, activities, and records.
Skills and Abilities Required:
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills. Hands on expertise in working with large-scale data, reporting tools, financial modeling and other financial systems (preferably Oracle and PowerBI). PowerBI learning and development seminars will be offered in this role. Analytical skills with an ability to explain results in an easy to understand manner. Ability to prioritize workload to achieve effective results in a fast-paced and growing environment. Ability to work independently, in partnership with others, and in a collaborative role. Must have advanced or expert skills in Microsoft Excel. Demonstrates and applies an understanding of accounting principles.
