Job Description The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day financial operations within the U.S. division, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and driving process improvements. This role manages a small team of accounting professionals and plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and supporting business decisions with actionable financial insights. Key Responsibilities Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.
Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
Lead account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Supervise and develop accounting staff.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow activities.
Coordinate internal and external audit processes and documentation.
Collaborate cross-functionally to provide financial guidance and reporting.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in filing requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Proficiency in GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting.
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, financial modeling).
Experience with ERP systems and accounting software; SQL knowledge a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Prior experience in manufacturing or distribution environments is preferred.
