This company is offering aunique opportunity to lead and shape the financial operations ofour organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid backgroundin accounting, with a focus on internal controls, external audit,and month-end close procedures. This is a key leadership rolewithin our finance department, responsible for managing all aspectsof our accounting operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, andcompliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities 1. Overseeand manage the general accounting functions, including, but notlimited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger,and taxes. 2. Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-dayactivities of accounts payable, cash disbursements,invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll,perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general &entity accounting, cost accounting, and Human Resourcestransactional activity. 3. Develop and maintain timely and accuratefinancial statements and reports in accordance with generallyaccepted accounting principles (GAAP). 4. Develop, implement, andensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policiesand procedures. 5. Manage and oversee the organization’s financialsystems, ensuring maximum productivity and that it meets the needsof the business today and the future. 6. Prepare all supportinginformation for the annual external audit and liaise with theBoard’s Audit Committee and the external auditors as necessary. 7.Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting informationfor all financial transactions. 8. Manage the month-end andyear-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. 9.Develop and monitor business performance metrics, highlighting thecauses of variances. 10. Implement and manage internal controlsover the company’s accounting and financial procedures, includingcomprehensive policies and procedures relating to the cash handlingprocess. Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,Finance, or related field is required. Master’s degree or CPA ispreferred. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senioraccounting role is required. 3. Proven experience in managinginternal controls, external audit, and month-end close procedures.4. Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and cash flowmanagement. 5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, anddecision-making skills. 6. Excellent leadership skills with adedication to driving and achieving results. 7. Knowledge offinancial systems, databases, and computer applications. 8. Highlevel of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability. 9. Strongbusiness acumen and organizational skills. 10. Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills. 11. Ability to work in afast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity andcomplexity. 12. Ability to execute and follow-through to completionand documentation. 13. Ability to work cooperatively andcollaboratively with all levels of employees, management, andexternal agencies to maximize performance, creativity,problem-solving, and results.
