Are you a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact? We are seeking a highly motivated Finance professional to assist in managing the financial activities for assigned properties. This is a critical role requiring strong financial acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy.
In this essential function role, you will:
Manage the full cycle of financial activities for assigned properties, encompassing Section 8 and various other grant programs.
Project cash requirements and maintain strict control over bank accounts, actively managing banking activities, wire transfers, and cash investments.
Monitor and review accounting and related system reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Prepare and review financial documents including revenue entries, expense reports, payroll entries, and invoices.
Take ownership of the monthly close-out process, including preparing specified entries and requirements such as accruals, revenue/expense analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Conduct thorough general ledger account analysis and reconciliations.
Develop, prepare, and monitor all budgets and budget revisions for assigned properties.
Generate insightful financial analysis of operations, providing management with monthly budget status reports and recommendations.
Prepare fixed assets depreciation schedules for REAC entries and compile all necessary supporting documentation for year-end closings.
Produce timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, analyzing financial data and trends to provide valuable insights for informed decision-making.
Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial information is provided to the Director of Finance.
Provide financial guidance and support to property managers and their staff.
Prepare annual audit workpapers and the annual

REAC FDS

report for assigned properties.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as directed by the Director of Finance.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in finance, public administration, business administration, or a related field.
OR an Associate’s Degree in Accounting with 10 years of progressive experience in accounting.
An equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered.
Extensive knowledge of acceptable accounting practices, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Yardi experience is highly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
Strong problem-solving skills are essential.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $36.00 – $38.50
