Full Job Description Description:
Essential Functions Using the understanding of various revenue cycle functions, the Revenue Project Lead will successfully implement continuous improvement project plans using accepted Process Improvement methodologies to support improvements to the revenue cycle. Use knowledge of revenue cycle operations to surface and prioritize concerns with system conversions and up-or-downstream operations. This position will coordinate the operations and reviews of the Denial Committee, under the direction of the department director. Work will occur to identify trends, track current projects, deliverables, and investigate for root and contributing causes. The role will study issues, present to stakeholders, and ensure appropriate follow up and issue resolution occur. The role will also provide clinical leadership with monthly reports. Tracking of PFS improvement projects and modeling positive change management skills and working to develop staff during projects. Work with leadership to define department KPIs, develop reports, collect data, and track performance, assigning triggers for immediate attention to alerts, to include use of industry and clinic benchmarks. Demonstrates appropriate fiscal management skills with administrative duties. Communicates well with team members at all levels of the organization, providing accurate, timely, and relevant data. Supervisory Responsibility None – individual contributor Work Environment & Physical Demands Work is performed indoors in a heated, air conditioned, well lighted, office setting. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as copier and computer printer. Requires normal range of vision. Requires prolonged standing or sitting.
Requirements:
Required Education and Experience High School graduate and Certification with the American Academy of Professional Coders. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a physician practice. Current knowledge of State and Federal healthcare laws and regulations. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and exercise appropriate judgement. Ability to create effective spreadsheets and graphs to analyze data and trends, and to make appropriate management-level decisions. Ability to work well with others as a “team.” Ability to prepare and present effective formal presentations. Professional appearance and manner. Preferred Education Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
