The Finance Business Partner is responsible for managingfinancial planning and analysis process that supports one or moreassigned service lines and departments for Empath – Stratum Health,Inc., and the organization’s subsidiaries. The Finance BusinessPartner establishes strong cross-functional partnerships to supportstrategic financial planning and business objectives.
JOBDUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze current operations and revenue cycle to identifychanges that will enhance financial and operationalperformance. Develop working knowledge in one or more functional areas tosupport internal analysis and projects. Work with Service Line Leadership and Department Administratorsto develop, recommend, and update business and strategic plans thatsupport Empath – Stratum goals for clinical operations, newventures, and other business opportunities. Help develop and review proformas for new lines ofbusiness. Assist in defining, monitoring, and analyzing key financialmetrics and operational drivers and KPIs. Develop and maintain customized management reports. Assist Service Line leadership and managers in effectivelyinterpreting and utilizing reports for managing financial budgetsand forecasts. Communicate and present high level quantitative analyses to thesenior leadership and service line administrators. Maintain expertise in the areas of national health care trends,third party reimbursement, and billing and collections. Collaborate with key department and operations leaders todevelop budgets and forecasts and meet financial planning processschedules, goals, and objectives. Contribute to design and development of budget process. Assess completed budget processes for future improvements. Review monthly financials to identify and analyze managementissues and explain budget and forecast variances. Understand, analyze, and offer recommendations regarding thefull financial health of services lines and individualdepartments. Routinely summarize and report financial status of assignedservice lines to department managers and senior leadership. Assess staffing levels, productivity, and compensation toprovide feedback on performance against budget and benchmarkcomparisons. Ensure that all data, reports, and supporting information aremaintained in a manner that is consistent, confidential, andprotected. Identify and implement internal process improvements, bothwithin Financial Planning & Analysis and in coordination with otherdepartments. Complete and manage other special projects as assigned.

Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree withconcentration in business, finance, or health careadministration. Five + Years of Financial Planning & Analysis for multiplelines of healthcare, business and quantitative analysis experiencerequired. A team player with the ability to communicate effectively anddevelop strong working relationships across multiple levels anddepartments. Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills, withsignificant Microsoft Excel experience required. Demonstrated experience in synthesizing data into insights thatprovide tangible results to the business. Working knowledge of Workday Adaptive Planning a plus. Experience with Tableau, Power Query, Power BI, or similar dataanalytics tools strongly desired. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential andprior direct customer service experience (internal and/or external)is necessary. Must have characteristics include initiative, self-motivation,and willingness to jump in wherever needed, flexibility in shiftingbetween tasks, ability to work independently, ability to monitorand set priorities, adaptability, and dependability.
