Job Description
Position Summary The Director of Analytics & Automation reports directly to the Vice President of Revenue Cycle and indirectly to the Chief Financial Officer. The position is responsible for leading and managing the Revenue Cycle Analytics team, overseeing reporting and data analysis, and driving automation initiatives to enhance revenue cycle efficiency. This role will play a key part in developing and maintaining managed care contract models and will serve as a consultant resource for finance process improvement across the organization. The position will lead internal projects, make Leadership presentations, assist with strategy development, analyze workflow processes, track project implementation steps, estimate budgets, and develops divisional metrics and reports to improve KPI’s. Monitors co-worker productivity, quality, track department goals, and ensure appropriate procedures are in place for co-worker education as well as oversite of bonus programs. Participates in new hire processes, evaluating performance, and administering employee corrective action. Ensures all policies are procedures are well documented and adhered to including federal and state regulations (Health Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) laws). - Required License & Certification None Required Core Job Functions Leads the Revenue Cycle Analytics team in producing accurate, timely, and actionable reports to support decision-making.
Works collaboratively with IT and operational teams to implement automation solutions, including robotic process automation (RPA) and advanced analytics tools. Develops and maintains models for managed care contracts to evaluate reimbursement scenarios and financial impact. Provides data-driven insights on contract performance and payer trends to optimize reimbursement strategies. Acts as a key resource for finance-related process improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics to enhance operational efficiency. Provides oversight, direction, and knowledge to internal teams in the initiation, assessment, and execution of strategic initiatives in the Revenue Cycle Division and throughout SJCHS.
