Job Description Your Role Key responsibilities include business unit financial planning, developing, and managing processes to enhance forecasting, analysis, and decision support efficiencies, and building and maintaining metric-driven financial models to evaluate profitability, cost management, and productivity improvements. Additionally, the Manager will oversee preparing and presenting financial performance reports to senior management and collaborate closely with various departments to ensure accurate financial planning and analysis.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Develop, direct, and maintain effective and efficient financial reporting, planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for business units and firm capital invested into underlying funds Coordinate with Client Delivery & Investments FP&A teams and Accounting on actual results, budgets, and forecasting activities Establish and maintain trusted relationships with business unit leaders, portfolio managers, fund operations and internal corporate leaders Perform business level monthly reporting and analysis, headcount/resource planning, and compensation calculations Develop a comprehensive understanding of the firm’s Private Markets products and capabilities, and effectively communicate complex topics in a clear and concise manner Long-range modeling of underlying business units, and ability to communicate business unit and product specific economic expectations and profitability Working with, and validating/cross-checking, datasets outside of standard corporate systems, and using this data to perform ad-hoc analysis for both business unit leaders and corporate leadership teams Oversee and participate in cross-functional projects with teams across the organization, including product management, IT, legal, finance, fund accounting, corporate accounting and other departments. Create and maintain new product/fund economic models, inclusive of base case and scenario modeling, building a deep understanding of fund operations and how the portfolio management/fund activities drive economics to the firm Special project support including business unit acquisitions, divestitures, and new capability assessment and planning. Various ad-hoc requests as required
The Experience You Bring:
BS in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field MBA or CPA preferred 6 to 8 + years of experience in financial analysis, scenario planning, forecasting, decision modeling, and understanding business profitability. Prior experience in investment management or financial services is preferred Knowledge of Oracle and/or Hyperion planning is a plus. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office with a focus on
