A purpose-driven organization focused on advancing equity andregional prosperity is seeking a skilled and detail-orientedFinance Operations Manager to join its team. This position plays akey role in managing financial workflows, ensuring compliance,optimizing systems, and supporting cross-functional operationsacross the organization. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, theFinance Operations Manager will oversee financial processes, datasystems, reporting, and team coordination, all while ensuringsmooth and accurate operations in a fast-paced, mission-focusedenvironment. Key Responsibilities Financial Operations & ComplianceLead the development and implementation of internal financialprocesses and procedures Collaborate with cross-functional teams toforecast financial activities and generate monthly and ad-hocreports Monitor transactions for compliance with regulatory andorganizational policies Manage data integrity in the organization’sfinancial systems, ensuring timely and accurate documentationReview and approve payment requests and documentation for accuracyand policy adherence Maintain oversight of system coding structuresand support team members with financial systems use Reporting &Analysis Track financial contributions and align with budgetaryplanning Assist in developing and monitoring program andoperational budgets Review financial reporting packages and followup on discrepancies or compliance issues Prepare data for taxfilings, audits, and organizational reporting (e.g., board reports,annual reports) Support year-end reconciliations and managerecurring financial processes such as distribution schedules GrantsManagement Develop, maintain, and improve grantmaking processes,policies, and systems Coordinate with program teams to forecastgrant activity and prepare related financial reports Conductcompliance checks on grant recipients against relevant watchlists(sanctions, political exposure, etc.) Ensure accuracy and properdocumentation of grant data within the CSuite platform Review andvalidate payment requests, award letters, and grant agreementsServe as the main point of contact for system-related inquiries andstaff support Respond to donor and grantee inquiries andtroubleshoot issues as needed Process Optimization & SystemManagement Lead initiatives to digitize workflows, streamlineoperations, and improve financial system usage Maintain financialdocumentation and record-keeping protocols Standardize proceduresand policies related to finance-related data and transactionsSupport tax documentation and year-end reporting processes forstakeholders Team & Project Leadership Supervise and guide a teamfocused on administrative and system support for financialoperations Lead training on internal systems and ensure continuouslearning across the team Provide coaching, feedback, andprofessional development for team members Collaborate acrossdepartments to maximize efficiency and consistency in financialworkflows Champion continuous improvement initiatives and bestpractices in financial operations Qualifications Bachelor’s degreein Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field6 years of experience in financial operations, systems management,or a related role Proficiency in financial and CRM platforms (e.g.,CSuite, Foundant, Salesforce, or similar) Strong understanding offinancial compliance and reporting standards Proven leadership andteam management skills Exceptional organizational, problem-solving,and communication skills Commitment to equity, inclusion, andoperational excellence This role is ideal for someone who thriveson operational efficiency, is passionate about financialstewardship, and enjoys leading system and process improvements ina collaborative and values-driven environment.
