Our Business Finance Manager (supporting Orkin) will provide divisional support on a transactional and analytical level, driving process improvements and modernization initiatives for Orkin. The role will interact with Orkin’s operational leadership team partnering with the business and building lasting relationships with fellow teammates in a growing company. This individual will also provide insightful financial advice, support, reporting, and key analyses needed to help our Orkin Pacific Division achieve its operating and financial plans.

Responsibilities
You Will. . .
Coordinate the month-end close process for Orkin’s business driving precision and accuracy for the branch and regional P&Ls, while streamlining the close process for the business
Serve as a business partner and a guide to the Orkin Divisional management and ensure all activities are recorded and reported in compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
Develop and lead mid-month, quarterly and full year projection forecasts and reviews
Coordinate preparation and review of branch/regional month-end entries; lead the accounting for Branch splits, regional reorganization and key operational accruals, including Bonus, relocation, etc.
Act as a liaison between Accounting and Operations so all P&L inquiries are responded to quickly and professionally
Have a continuous improvement mindset, including coming up with new and creative ways to approach challenging situations, upgrades to existing processes, and use of new tools (Alteryx, Power BI, etc.) for consistency in executing common tasks across all Divisions
Conduct field P&L training and participate at division and region meetings
Assist in accounting, integration, and policy alignment for new acquisitions
Support Orkin management in preparation or analysis of profit projections, annual planning, and other similar initiatives
Build and maintain cross-functional and collaborative relationships with colleagues across Finance, Tax, Payroll, and Treasury, Operational Departments, Legal, Procurement, IT and others
Prepare division-level Results of Operations package to include standard commentary and several key reports that will address revenue growth, expense control, and profitability
Assist Internal Reporting with timely preparation of selected Board materials
Lead the preparation of the monthly Close Memo and/or create new reporting that is meaningful to the executives with the content needed
Provide leadership, transactional and analytical support, process improvements, and modernization initiatives for Orkin
Work on special projects and other tasks as assigned

Qualifications
The Experience You Will Bring (Minimum Requirements):
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, MBA, or Master’s preferred)
6+ years in a large public or private company with direct exposure to the operational finance organization
Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint is essential; Proficient in financial modeling and budgeting is a plus
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Acquisition integration experience is a plus
Ability to function as a positive agent of change and create an engaging work environment
Proven ability to partner with the business to resolve problems that impact business progress, excellent business acumen
Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions and levels of the organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and concisely
JD Edwards (JDE), Power BI and Alteryx experience is a plus
Ability to travel one week per month for first six months to support our business operations; reduced travel after onboarding
