Job Description
Quest Group is seeking a strategic and analytical Corporate Finance Manager to oversee financial planning and analysis, capital management, and investment evaluation for a client that excels in the real estate, housing, or construction sector. This individual will play a critical role in supporting executive leadership with data-driven insights to guide decision-making, improve financial performance, and manage risk across development projects and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial models. Analyze financial results and key metrics across developments, properties, and projects. Prepare executive-level financial reporting, dashboards, and variance analysis. Capital Planning & Investment Analysis Evaluate capital structure, debt financing options, and funding needs for real estate acquisitions, developments, or construction projects. Build and maintain pro forma models to assess investment viability, IRR, NPV, payback periods, and scenario planning. Support capital allocation decisions and liaise with lenders, equity partners, and financial institutions. Strategic Financial Support Partner with development, construction, and operations teams to align financial strategies with business goals. Provide financial input on project feasibility studies, land purchases, bids, and contractor agreements. Assist with M&A activity, due diligence, and integration planning, if applicable. Cash Flow & Treasury Management Monitor and forecast cash flow for ongoing and upcoming projects. Optimize working capital, coordinate funding draws, and manage debt covenant compliance. Risk Management & Controls Identify financial and operational risks and support mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies. Work with auditors, tax advisors, and compliance professionals as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred). CPA or CFA designation a strong plus. 5-8+ years of experience in corporate finance, ideally within real estate development, construction, or housing. Strong understanding of project-based accounting, capital markets, and real estate financial metrics. Proficiency with financial modeling and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Argus, Yardi, Procore, or similar platforms). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills across departments and leadership levels.
