Position Purpose:
As a Senior Revenue Cycle Specialist at Mercy Care Atlanta, you will leverage your expertise in healthcare reimbursement and financial analysis to drive process improvements across the Revenue Cycle spectrum. Your role will be pivotal in identifying revenue opportunities, managing compliance issues, and implementing strategies to enhance financial outcomes.
What You Will Do:
Perform all duties of Level I and Level II Revenue Cycle Specialists. Lead Process Improvement projects across Patient Access, Billing, Collections, Denial Management, Reimbursement, and Clinical Departments. Analyze and manage data to identify revenue and compliance issues. Implement revenue cycle improvement initiatives. Follow up on third-party and commercial claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Verify claims addresses, prepare, and mail claims as necessary. Manage periodontal records and X-rays, ensuring proper documentation and submission. Collaborate with various departments to enhance revenue cycle processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years of related experience in healthcare patient accounting or customer service. Strong experience in financial analysis within healthcare, preferably from a top consulting firm. Advanced proficiency in EXCEL, Access programming, and Epic systems. Comprehensive understanding of healthcare reimbursement and payment methodologies, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care Organizations. Strong analytical skills and ability to work with dynamic groups to solve complex revenue cycle issues.
