Job Description

Manager, Patient Financial Services Hospital Authority Of Liberty County 462 Elma G Miles Parkway, Hinesville, GA 31313 JOB SUMMARY This position is for a Patient Financial Services Manager whose responsibility is to oversee and manage all hospital, clinic and nursing home AR and credit balances, ensure KPIs are within goal, work with all entities to reduce denials, identify denial trends and enhance processes to address denials. Financial counselors, clinic cash posters, hospital cashier report to this position. This position reports to the CFO. Able to perform the following duties: Monthly audits of all LRMC, Clinic and Coastal Manor AR reports for opportunities and works with other departments and vendors to ensure AR/Credit balances are worked timely and efficiently and are in line with goal Provides feedback for management personnel to identify process improvement initiatives that interface with business office functions. Reviews reports and remittances to ensure maximum reimbursement. Works with contract management vendor to ensure all over/under account are worked and paid correctly. Ensures the timely and accurate billing of all insurance accounts. Reviews processes to ensure regulatory compliance requirements are met. Ensures timely responses to questions and concerns of patient related issues. Works closely with denials management to identify problem areas and improve procedures. Monitors and reports AR credit balances and provides feedback to appropriate personnel. Completes quarterly credit balance reports for Medicare and Medicaid Works with managers to develop new or improved methods to assure all revenue is captured. Conducts education sessions as necessary to increase the understanding by departments of the importance and necessity of maintaining robust charge capture systems Develops QA standards and measurements, monitors and provides regular reporting. Assists with Coastal Manor Medicaid pending accounts Complete Monthly KPI reports for all entities Assist with yearly financial audits as requested Assist with charge master functions Work closely with all billing vendors to ensure KPI’s are being met Performs other duties as required and assigned based on operational needs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum level of

Education :

Education level equivalent to an associate degree in business administration, accounting, office management preferred.

Formal Training :

Experience in healthcare billing. Intermediate computer experience with word processing and spreadsheet capabilities.

Licensure, Certifications & Registration :

Certified Patient Access Representative preferred.

Work Experience :

Three years of experience in hospital billing. Supervisory experience preferred.
