Metro Atlanta GA 6 Degrees Group 6 Degrees Group is recruiting for a Controller/Accounting Manager in Alpharetta, GA.
This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, with a strong focus on project-based financial management. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in job cost analysis and percentage completion accounting, supporting leadership with accurate financial reporting and decision-making. This is a hands-on position that requires strong collaboration with project teams and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities:
Manage accounting operations including general ledger, payroll, AP/AR, and financial reporting. Lead monthly and annual close processes and ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards. Oversee job costing, WIP tracking, and project profitability analysis. Support project managers and leadership in financial planning, budgeting, and billing accuracy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred. 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally with project or construction accounting. Strong understanding of percentage completion accounting and cost analysis. Proficiency in accounting software and Excel; ERP system experience a plus.
