JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY
Manages a critical and/or specialized function which requires some level of management and/or specialized skill. Participates in strategic planning and implementation, project development, productivity, profitability, regulatory compliance and credit risk by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures that customer service and profitability are not mutually exclusive, by tailoring the processes and decision making in their area of responsibility to produce the optimal combination of those two priorities.
Ensures that the Mortgage Division’s credit philosophy and productivity goals are in sync with holding company efforts by taking personal responsibility for the success of the division and the Bank; A selfless approach to team work is required.
Understands and manages the expenses associated with the operation of the department/function for which the manager is directly responsible.
Exhibits and maintains excellent knowledge and understanding of the mortgage process and is fully capable of interpreting and implementing changes in guidelines, regulation and procedure.
Works closely with management team to develop any needed changes in policy or procedures that enhance customer service, increases productivity or reduces risk to the division and Bank as a whole.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises one or more people and carries out supervisory responsibilities, in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor’s degree, formal training and two to four years related experience (or equivalent experience and success)Language SkillsAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writing using the English languageAbility to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documentsAbility to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business communityAbility to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format; Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
