Fund AccountingManager Location:

Chicago, IL, Indianapolis, IN or Boston, MA AlterDomus is currently seeking a new Fund Manager to join our CreditFunds team!

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Provide mentorship and leadership toteam members, ensure team training and career development;
  • Serveas lead contact for client and their investors, auditors, and otherparties;
  • Manage and oversight the production of of financialstatements and supporting schedules, including, but not limited to,journal entries, trial balances, and capital activities;
  • Reviewinvestor allocations, ad-hoc communications with investors,workpapers and unaudited financial statements, partners’ capitalstatements, and all reports for both limited and general partners
  • Perform review of IRR’s and returns and discussing results;
  • Analyze management fees, incentive fee, and waterfall calculations
  • Ensure fund/account compliance with client agreement(s);
  • Manageclient expectations and communicate deliverables clearly andtimely;
  • Assist with open items list / auditor communications,1099 form preparation, and onboarding process for both new clientsand new funds;
  • Review and assist in spearheading ongoing CreditFund automation project;
  • Communicate with senior team members onthe status of reports and projects;
  • Monitor and createfund/account efficiencies and ensure implementation ofimprovements;
  • Work with senior team members on special requestsfrom clients;
  • Assist with the development of policies andprocedures.
YOUR PROFILE
  • 7 years of professional experience;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar;
  • Expertise inCredit Fund Accounting and Bank Loan Markets operations;
  • In depthunderstanding of private credit and structured product investments
  • Experience preparing journal entries and other fund accountingprocess (e.g. cash, investments, intercompany, credit facility,accruals, valuations, management fees, invoices, partnerallocation, and carried interest);
  • Deep knowledge of FundAccounting technology platforms;
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills,including advanced formulas and pivot tables;
  • Understanding ofmultiple vehicle structures including parallel, co-investor,blocker, feeder and holding company structures;
  • Ability toquickly learn and understand Alter Domus’ accounting systems andcorresponding reporting;
  • Skilled at proactively identifyingissues and recommend long-term solutions;
  • Capacity to multitask,working on multiple client and/or fund deadlines;
  • Effectivecommunicator with clients;
  • Capable of working both independentlyand on a team;
  • Excellent attention to detail and analyticalskills;
  • Experience managing a team is a plus.

The budget for thisparticular role is between $87,500 and $140,000 WHAT
