Job Opportunity BHSI is seeking an experienced finance leader with extensive knowledge and experience in the Property, Casualty, and Specialty Insurance industry. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing BHSI’s financial strategy. You will lead, manage, and develop our globally dispersed Finance team located in Boston, Stevens Point, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney, Kuala Lumpur, Dublin, London, Cologne, and Madrid. As the Finance Leader, you will develop global strategic priorities, ensure their timely and accurate implementation, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team. Based in Boston, the Global Head of Finance will oversee financial operations, ensuring the financial health and stability of the business. You will be involved in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management, collaborating closely with Berkshire Hathaway’s finance teams in Omaha and the BHSI executive leadership. Duties & Responsibilities Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and local regulations. Develop and manage the annual budget and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. Monitor financial performance, identify trends and variances, and present recommendations to Senior Management. Coordinate with external auditors and oversee engagement processes. Review and approve BHSIC Yellow Book STAT reporting for BHSI Senior Management. Manage third-party vendor relationships related to finance (eg, ADP, TMF, Anaplan). Provide financial analysis for third-party customers and vendors as needed. Qualifications, Skills and Experience Master’s degree in finance or business administration preferred, or equivalent experience. 15+ years in property & casualty insurance, including finance and accounting. 5+ years in leadership roles. Experience as a finance leader in the insurance industry, especially specialty insurance, is preferred. CPA designation required. Deep knowledge of statutory accounting, taxation, and audit procedures. BHSI Offers Competitive compensation and growth opportunities.
