POSITION SUMMARY
Primarily responsible for grants management, budget preparation, and accounting services. Oversees analysis and policy development for funding issues, resource allocation, and funding proposals. Manages staff in pre-and post-award funding. Works with project directors to comply with funder’s terms and conditions, manage deliverables, monitors spending, salary allocation, request amendments, and rant reconciliation. Provides guidance, advice, and training to administrative managers in the Division regarding financial and budgetary activities Ensures timely and accurate processing of payables, deposits and billings. The position also serves as the primary administrative contact on assigned grants for principal investigators, research & grant administration (BU&BMC), and acts as the liaison between the department and B.U. for shared services of human resources, purchasing and financial activities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum five years’ experience in financial management and pre-and post-award grant administration. Accounting management experience.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Strong analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Culturally sensitive to international collaborators and trainees. The ability to provide leadership and work effectively as a team member. The ability to work independently, take initiative and handle multiple priorities. Knowledge of federal and non-federal regulations and operational policies of sponsored research. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with strict deadlines.
