The Opportunity The newly announced Corporate Function ProgramManagement Office (CFPMO) is seeking an experienced project managerto support the stand-up of the new organization supportingCorporate Finance, Enterprise Risk, and Investment Managementinitiatives. In this role, you will report directly to the CFPMOPortfolio Lead and be accountable for the planning, day-to-dayexecution, management, implementation and reporting of projectswhile using the defined project management (PM) processes andstandards. The

process is designed to support the CFPMO’smission to increase the value impact of change efforts acrossMassMutual’s corporate functions. As a CFPMO Project Manager, youwill execute by following a standardized process for projectinitiation, planning, execution, and close. Project managers willpartner and support project sponsors and portfolio leads indeveloping required detailed project artifacts tailored to projectcomplexity. The Team The CFPMO oversees the execution ofinitiatives across Corporate Finance, Enterprise Risk, InvestmentManagement, Law, and HR & Employee Experience, as well as definesand owns project management standards across the company. The teamis focused on driving and aligning critical programs and projectsacross our Corporate Functions, creating more visibility into thiswork, while enabling better prioritization, collaboration, andexecution. We are a newer team of self-starters, who enjoy solvingcomplex business problems with proven track records of excellencein project management and the ability to quickly structure andmanage work in a dynamic, complex environment.
The Impact:
As aCorporate Function Project Manager, you will:
- Partner withProject Sponsors and Functional Managers to compile Discoveryartifacts such as a Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA), Project Charter,high level Resource Plan, and high-level Milestone Plan to bereviewed to receive Discovery Funding
- Develop and maintainrequired Detailed Planning artifacts and manage plan execution
- Determine project scope and manage scope execution across multiplelarge projects or medium to large programs where scope is subjectto change, contains high complexity and high degree of risk, largenumber of resources, and complex organizational change issues thatsupport complex enterprise or strategic corporate goals
- Developfinancial forecasts, record cost variance, anticipate and addressdelivery challenges, and request budget changes if needed followingassociated Change Request Process
- Develop high-level milestonesduring Discovery and develop detailed project schedules duringDetailed Planning
- Works with a high degree of autonomy to applyindustry leading project and program management knowledge to refinethe resource plan, develop a RACI Matrix, conduct a Key-Person RiskAssessment, and Third-Party Support Needs Assessment
- Ensure earlyidentification, resolution, and escalation of project risks throughmaintenance of Risk and Issue Log and project Pre-Mortem activity
- Drives continuous improvement and efficiencies beyond own scope ofresponsibility
- Accountable for meeting all business requirementsfrom development through implementation The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and expertise
- 8years of project management experience
- Proven success indelivering complex long-term projects on time, within budget, andto scope
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonalskills
- Proficiency in project management software including butnot limited to MS Project, Smartsheet, and Jira The IdealQualifications
- 10 years of project management experience, 5within a PMO
- 8 years of experience leading projects impactingcore Investment Management and Capital Market systems and businessprocess.
- Experience leading projects related to mergers andacquisitions (M&A), corporate re-organizations, and/or legaloperations or procurement
- Project Management Professional (PMP)certification or equivalent
- Agile/Waterfall project managementexperience What to Expect as Part of MassMutual and the Team
