This Finance Manager – Governance & Control role is embedded with the US Retail Bank Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team and will lead the team’s build out of Governance & Control infrastructure. This role will take a lead role in helping meet short-term requirements, including EUC standards and non-model/model governance, and build out a sustainable working model to keep pace with evolving business needs. This role will serve as a subject matter expert within Finance and partner closely with those within the FP&A team as well as broader Finance colleagues to deliver success.

Job Summary:

The Finance Manager provides a range of strategic Finance advice, analysis and support for key business areas/portfolios as assigned. Proactively manages senior relationships in order to provide seasoned and deep business insights, decision support and guidance and works closely with various stakeholders and team members as required.

Depth & Scope:

+ Scope of role may have pan-business impact and focus is on comprehensive reviews, specialized analysis, audits and/or initiatives with a yearly time span + Accountable for conducting financial analysis/research, reviews and/or audits to support functional goals/objectives + May act as interface with Finance partners/leaders and external parties + Serves as a source of advice to senior management in field of specialty; may lead team(s) of related specialists/experts + Undertakes and completes a variety of complex projects and initiatives requiring seasoned business partner specialist knowledge and/or the integration of cross functional processes within own area of expertise + Work is guided by policies and industry standards/methods + Requires innovative thinking to develop new solutions + Communicates difficult concepts; converts information to compelling business context and advice; influences and gains alignment across increasingly senior stakeholders + Works autonomously as the lead and guides others within area of expertise
