Summary:
The Manager – Financial Clearance is responsible for the performance of the financial clearance staff including day to day management, and daily quality assurance with an emphasis on Front End Revenue Cycle Operations. Leads teams responsible for pre-service and point-of-service functions including insurance verification, authorization acquisition, patient financial counseling, patient payment collections, and proactive identification of potential reimbursement challenges. Ensures patient throughput is streamlined, and works to reduce operational bottlenecks, minimize revenue leakage, and enhance patient satisfaction. Education:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field, required
License/Certifications:
N/A
Experience:
Minimum 5 years recent experience in Financial Clearance or Revenue Cycle, required. Minimum three years’ experience managing financial clearance and revenue cycle processes in a complex billing environment, required. Minimum 3 years EPIC experience in Patient Financial Services, or financial clearance setting, required. Minimum 2 years direct supervision of staff, workflow, quality indicators and staff productivity, required
Additional Skills/Requirements Required:
Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook. Maine Health EMR platform Proficiency
