• Tuition reimbursement About this position: LMCU is looking for a Home Equity Underwriting Manager who will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the underwriting team within the Home Equity Department.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting employees with the processing and underwriting of all incoming Mortgage applications and assisting Members with all questions regarding their Mortgage. What you’ll do: Ensures that all Mortgage Applications actively in Underwriting are in Compliance with HMDA, RESPA, TRID, Reg C, CFPB along with all State & Federal Guidelines. Work with strategy team partners to stay current with relevant regulatory and compliance updates. Implement changes into training material and underwriting process and procedures. Hire, schedule, train & monitor the work of others in the department along with preparing & conducting employee performance reviews. Conducts training sessions as needed for employees and branches on all Mortgage regulation updates along with Internal & External Marketing programs. Monitors and Updates all Mortgage Product Descriptions as needed. Monitors all reports daily to ensure day to day operations are progressing to meet expectations in regard to timelines for underwriting along with compliance in all areas of the application from start to finish.

What You’ll Bring:

5+ years of mortgage/home equity underwriting experience. Leadership experience in underwriting or mortgage operations. Strong knowledge of mortgage regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage processes, meet deadlines, and ensure accuracy. Proficiency in mortgage underwriting systems and reporting tools.
