The Balance Sheet Forecasting and Analytics team is ateam within our Corporate Treasury department. We are responsiblefor balance sheet management strategy, portfolio and brokereddeposit notional investment allocation decisions, balance sheetmodeling and analytics, market risk management, Asset LiabilityManagement (ALM) derivatives, and net interest income forecasting.

The overall team manages fixed-income investments in severalportfolios totaling over $200 billion, with approximately $480billion in total balance sheet assets and $85 billion inoff-balance-sheet brokered deposit agreement notional investments.

The Balance Sheet Forecasting and Analytics responsibilities rollup to our Treasury Capital Markets (TCM) organization, whichincludes: ALM, fixed income investing and other balance sheetmodeling activities. What you have

Required:
  • 7 years relevantexperience with an emphasis on reporting, automation andcommunications which ideally took place in Treasury relatedfunctions such as ALM, fixed income analytics, capital marketsand/or market risk.
  • 2 years of people leadership includingoverseeing diverse teams and motivating employees to achieve bothtactical and strategic delivery goals.
  • Experience with FP&Aand/or risk management processes. Success running a highly visibleproduction process.
  • Knowledge of fixed-income investmentportfolio forecasting.
  • Expertise in data analytics/visualizationtools such as Python, Tableau, Alteryx, Excel, PowerPoint, andSharePoint.
  • Enthusiasm to simplify complex concepts so they canbe quickly and easily understood.
  • Exceptional leadership,communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to workcross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solvingabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and implementprocess improvements.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degreepreferred.
  • Experience with ALM software, such as PolyPaths orQRM, is preferred.
What youll do:

Reporting to the Director,Balance Sheet Forecasting and Analytics, you will lead a teamshaping the future of our balance sheet reporting. This role willdirectly interact with Executive Leadership within the Treasurydepartment. Initially this role will lead the team to focus onrevamping and automating: Executive Asset Liability Committee(ALCO), applicable Sub Committees and other standard ExecutiveReporting materials as applicable. Longer-term this team is taskedwith developing a suite of balance sheet analytics, alongsidepartners within Treasury, to drive additional strategic and riskmanagement insights from the business-as-usual forecasting process.

Core competencies for success in this role are communication,storytelling through reporting/visualization, and automation. Youwill plan and direct the ALCO production process, create & monitordeliverables in accordance with policy and procedures, and exerciserisk mitigation & governance needs. This includes collaborationwith risk partners, product leaders and others across the firmwhile playing a key role in managing risk across the Schwab and thespecific legal entities.
