Job Description A leading professional services firm dedicated to providing exceptional accounting, tax, and advisory services is seeking to hire a Controller. The Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) team helps clients navigate complex financial landscapes with tailored solutions and expert guidance.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAAS Controller to join our team. The CAAS Controller will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of our clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:

Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Client Advisory:

Provide strategic financial advice to clients, helping them achieve their business goals and improve financial performance.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Payroll Management:

Oversee and review subordinate’s work product for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements for the payroll process

Process Improvement:

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact for financial matters.

Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification required.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in QBO and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Analytical Skills:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Communication:

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively.

Interpersonal Skills:

Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, with a focus on providing exceptional service.

Detail-Oriented:

High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
