This role supports the successful alignment and execution of the Polaris Program within Finance & Accounting by leading process teams, driving strategic alignment with business priorities, and ensuring timely, budget-conscious project delivery. It also involves close collaboration with stakeholders to improve financial processes, ensure compliance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. preferred CPA or equivalent certification.
Experience:
3 – 5 years of experience in accounting or finance. Duties and Responsibilities Helps ensure that all Polaris programs and projects align with F&A priorities and deliver tangible business value Helps ensure that business needs are driving all decisions and actions to ensure that project outcomes meet or exceed expectations In collaboration with Finance & Accounting lead and department leadership, help lead the Finance & Accounting Process teams, providing direction and leadership throughout the program Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment Plays an active role on the Polaris Program Team As a member of the Polaris Program team, the position will also be a champion for the changes the program will introduce at a process level and system level Ensures successful delivery of Polaris program, on time, within budget, and meeting or exceeding stakeholder expectations Collaborates closely with key stakeholders and the PMO Leadership Team in developing the full scope of Project Polaris Ensure the finance and accounting teams collaborate with Project Managers and Business Process Leads throughout the project to ensure that financial requirements and accounting practices are supported Collaborate with the project teams to design and implement financial and accounting processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Accountable for all financial and accounting activities in the project work plans Coordinate efforts for F&A staff for all E2E business processes Collaborate with the Finance & Accounting Lead and Business Process Excellence Lead on project execution Helps lead process improvement efforts to identify and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Ergon’s financial practices that can be implemented throughout the program Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business unit leaders, project managers, and team members. Fosters a culture of continuous improvement within the F&A teams Ensures that the status of Polaris F&A presented to the PMO represents a factual, accurate, and transparent point-in-time view of the programs and individual projects’ status
Preferred Skills:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., SAP or similar ERP systems).
