Sr. Accounting Manager Position Available In Davidson, North Carolina

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to support a large steel manufacturing client in Lexington, NC. The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee the accounting team and work hand in hand with the controller onsite managing all financial and accounting operations. The current team is made up of a Sr. Buyer, a Sr. Accountant and two Accountants. This individual will be overseeing the team in their task-oriented day-to-day of working with journal entries, AP processes, month-end close, fixed assets, inventory controls, credit management, etc. They will not be hands-on with it themselves. There is also an aspect of the role that is going to be working with contracts on the accounting side and overseeing the buying/procurement with machinery valued around $500mm. The Senior Accounting Manager will need to be prepared for a focus on people management and ready for a growth trajectory to Controller and eventually overseeing the entire multi-million-dollar plant. Required Skills & Experience 5 years of experience in accounting; with 1-2 years leadership experience as a Controller at a smaller company, or Senior Accounting Manager at a larger company Strong people manager GAAP experience Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance Preferred Skills & Experience Previous working experience in a manufacturing, industrial, production, logistics, or similar industry would be excellent Other Information Direct-hire position with client Salary + bonus + profit sharing + stock buying options Base salary between $115k-134k Full healthcare benefits offered by client directly
