Position Summary:

Responsible for Company’s financial management of budgets, to include annual budgets, updated quarterly forecasts, and mid-term plans. Financial reporting, including detailed analysis of variances of actual financial performance to detailed budgets. Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for directing and managing the creation of the annual budget, updated quarterly forecasts, and mid term plans. Responsible for managing the creation, execution and refinement of Financial and Operational metrics and analysis. Develop and manage periodic reporting of KPIs and Operational Dashboard metrics. Track and report on performance relative to plan, and manage ongoing rolling forecast updates. Build and iterate on complex financial models covering all aspects of financial operations to enable effective decision-making regarding growth strategy, cost structure, and capital expenditures Responsible for managing Finance initiatives to document and improve systems and business processes to improve the efficiency and scalability of the Finance organization. Own all aspects of management reporting; maintain and enhance internal financial reporting processes, serving as a thought leader to upgrade reporting standards Prepare Financial and Analytical materials to be presented to senior management, Board of Directors and external parties as required. Create ad-hoc analyses to drive organizational strategy, improve efficiency, and maximize impact Position includes a substantial amount of project-related and one-off analysis as needed, based on the company’s needs at any given time. Daily / weekly / monthly tracking of cashflow projections and future cash needs. Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned. Lead and directly manage a team of Financial Analysts and Financial Business Partners Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Accounting or finance degree required. Candidate should have 7+ years progressive experience in Financial Planning and Analysis. Big 8 experience a definite plus. Must have expert knowledge of Financial and Accounting principles and Finance techniques including Budgeting, Revenue Forecasting, Financial modeling, and Return on Investment analyses. Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred. CDMO experience a plus. Experience with Accounting ERP software (Dynamic Great Plains preferred), General ledger, Microsoft Office, Database skills a plus Demonstrated ability to train, coach and manage staff Strong business acumen with ability to understand complex organizational structures and environments Excellent analytical and quantitative skills Advanced level of skill In Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data Ability to work with ambiguity and complexity Demonstrated Executive presence and strong presentation skills Ability to influence at all levels of the organization Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to multi-task and handle pressure
