Finance Manager, Tech FinanceYour Impact:
The primary purpose ofthis role is to partner with complex and highly visible areas ofthe business and/or work in support of initiatives aligned with theCompany’s strategy and focus areas. This is accomplished bycross-functional collaboration to convert complex business plansinto quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and long range plans;develop and maintainscorecards; develop business cases; and provideproactive analysis, insights, and recommendations to optimizebusiness performance. The Manager Finance is responsible for actingas a subject matter expert and thought leader on their respectiveteam, as well as taking on the responsibility of mentoring anddeveloping junior team members. To do this, the Manager Financemust have strong knowledge of financial and business analyticsprinciples, and the ability to leverage a matrixed environment tomanage projects and analyses to completion by leveraging talentacross Finance and other business areas. The Manager Finance shouldalso possess the ability to influence and interact with seniorleaders at the Company.
What You will
Do:
Develops Senior Specialist,Analyst, and Senior Analyst talent by managing and prioritizingday-to-day workload and direction; reviewing work output andproviding feedback; coaching and mentoring on strengths andopportunities.
Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) and thoughtleader on respective team.
Facilitates the financial forecasting andplanning processes with functional partners and business units thatresult in quarterly forecast updates, annual plans, and long-rangeplans (2-3 years).Collaborates across the business to provide rootcause analysis and actionable insights based on financial andnon-financial data to functional partners and businessunits.
Communicates financial and non-financial analysis andinsights to leaders by preparing analyses through leveragingmultiple data sources; identifying complete, consistent, andactionable insights & recommendations; translating insights intoclear, understandable themes.
Completes work assignments by applyingup-to-date expertise in subject area; leveraging an understandingof policies, data, and resources to support projects orinitiatives; collaborating cross functionally to solve businessproblems; identifying, recommending, and implementing ways toaddress improvement opportunities.
Develops business cases for keyinitiatives and major programs by creating robust financial models,tied to a program’s (or initiative’s) strategic narrative;identifying risks to the organization and engaging the businessowner in risk mitigation and trade-off conversations; identifyingand measuring key trigger points (metrics) that will providebusiness insight into an initiative’s success (leading and finalindicators).
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business,Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field6 years ofexperience in finance or analytical role in public company andaccounting1 year of experience with financial forecasting oranalytical modelingExperience in structuring and writing formaldocuments, developing and delivering group presentations, projectplanning, and/or cross functional collaborationPrevious experiencein FP&A, Corporate Finance or Corporate AccountingExperiencewith Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, PowerPoint,Excel)
Preferred Skills/Experience:
