Job Description
Finance Manager/Controller 2.9 2.9 out of 5 stars Lincolnton, NC Major Responsibilities/Activities (either individual or through subordinates) :
- Act as Finance business partner for senior management and key stakeholders across all areas of the business.
- Ensure proper bookkeeping regarding general ledger and all subledgers including fixed assets and inventory.
- Execute month-end and year-end closing activities including reporting, analysis and KPI tracking.
- Prepare and support forecasting, budgets, yearly audit of financial statements and financial figures for corporate consolidation.
- Create and continuously improve various standard and ad-hoc financial analysis with regards to financial performance indicators and drivers for all functions including required visualization of results and trends.
- Support decision-making processes by delivering accurate, reliable, and timely data including recommendations for action.
- Oversee and manage AP & AR including reconciliations, back up and support as needed.
- Assist in tax topics in corporation with external tax consultants.
- Assist in other administrative topics as insurances, legal matters and participate in ad-hoc projects as needed.
Knowledge and skills requirements:
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting and proven knowledge of basics and tools for financial analysis
- Superior strategic, analytical, and critical thinking skills with problem-solving attitude
- Self-motivated personality with drive to provide goal-oriented results
- Ability to communicate cross-functional, to manage complexity, and to build relationships in a fast-paced environment
- Strong proficiency in data processing software (Excel) and general IT user skills (Office 365)
- ERP system knowledge required and experience with data visualization tools is a plus
Education and Work Experience:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field required, CPA is a strong plus
- A minimum of five years of experience supporting finance and accounting, including AR and/or AP, general accounting, and cost accounting or financial analysis
- Work Experience in business development and/or manufacturing environment
