Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional to step into a mid-level role overseeing a variety of financial functions. The Accounting Manager will work closely with leadership and external partners to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial operations. This is an in-office role with some flexibility, working with a close-knit, highly engaged team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee key financial operations including payroll, AP, general ledger, and purchasing
Manage and maintain fixed asset records and coordinate depreciation schedules with external accountants
Prepare and review monthly financial statements and contribute to annual budget planning
Support benefit and retirement plan administration by preparing reports and managing communication with third-party vendors
Perform regular reconciliations, ensure accuracy of financial statements, and address discrepancies
Ensure regulatory compliance in financial reporting
Audit internal documents and contracts before processing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide insight for special projects and operational improvements
Handle all financial duties with strict confidentiality and integrity
Follow internal protocols along with HIPAA and OSHA compliance guidelines
Take on additional duties and provide strategic support to leadership as needed
Qualifications:
3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the healthcare industry
Experience using Paychex and Sage or similar accounting systems
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field strongly preferred; equivalent experience considered
Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused mindset
Must be detail-oriented, flexible, and comfortable wearing multiple hats
