Manages a team of professionals who provide analysis and reporting on commercial contracts and financial support to internal operations. Ensures project financials are properly monitored and managed in pursuit of maximizing project profitability and cash flow.
Essential Functions
Oversees team’s daily activities including the review of all project budgets and financial issues.
Manages contract deliverables and contract-specific financial reporting.
Oversees budgets that require senior attention with respect to revenue exposure, risk, or client needs. Manag
Manages client relationship for assigned account(s) with responsibility for contract negotiations, issue resolution, and delivery of reporting.
Tracks timeliness and quality of deliverables and provides necessary reporting.
Manages staff, which may include interviewing and selection, job description preparation, professional development, goal setting, performance management, coaching and mentoring, employee counseling, and separations. Approves courses of action on salary administration, hiring, corrective action, and terminations. Reviews and approves time records, expense reports, requests for leave, and overtime Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA certification is preferred
A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
