Position Overview Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation to oversee and manage our accounting operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead and maintain the financial health and compliance of the organization while mentoring a dynamic team of accountants. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and oversee accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting processes. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Compliance and Audit:
Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory standards, and internal policies. Coordinate audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and responses to auditor inquiries.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals. Assign responsibilities, evaluate performance, and provide continual learning opportunities.
Account Reconciliation and Oversight:
Review and approve reconciliations of accounts, including general ledger, bank accounts, and subsidiary ledgers. Maintain oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to enhance accounting procedures through automation, ERP systems, or best practices. Lead or participate in system implementation and integrations to improve efficiencies and accuracy.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial modeling as required by leadership. Monitor budget versus actual performance and recommend necessary adjustments. Key Skills and Qualifications CPA designation required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA or other advanced degree a plus). 6-8+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including managerial experience overseeing teams. Expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Preferred Certifications and Skills Advanced knowledge of compliance reporting and/or technical accounting. Experience with ERP implementations or AI platforms is a plus. Familiarity with industries such as healthcare, real estate, financial services, manufacturing, or construction desirable.
