Our Raleigh Team is hiring! We’re looking for an Associate of Investments to drive our growth in the Triangle. A minimum of two years of commercial estate experience is required, ideally in investment management, investment banking, or capital markets brokerage.
ABOUT THE POSITION
We are currently seeking an Associate of Investments to join our team in Raleigh, NC and help drive the growth of our portfolio in the Triangle. The individual’s primary responsibility will be working alongside our Director of Investments to oversee the successful completion of industrial, office, retail and multi-family deals (development and/or acquisition) in the Triangle. The role also includes involvement in the leasing and asset management of our existing portfolio. This is the ideal opportunity for someone that wants holistic exposure to Beacon’s investment, development, leasing, and asset management teams in our fastest growing market. The ideal candidate will have the talent, passion, character, and integrity to become a respected leader in the organization and the market. The individual must have strong underwriting, capital markets and deal execution capabilities. The candidate hired will report to our Director of Investments.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ACQUISITIONS / DEVELOPMENT & ASSET MANAGEMENT
Support all aspects of investment activity from deal identification to transaction execution: negotiate, structure, underwrite, diligence and execute projects across the Triangle. Prepare and present acquisition opportunities to our Investment Committee for approval. Manage the due diligence process, including coordinating with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., legal, capital markets, project management, etc.). Continuously monitor market conditions and industry trends to identify opportunities, inform investment strategies and manage risk appropriately. Drive value across our 4.75M SF existing portfolio in the Triangle. Professionally represent Beacon by fielding prospect and broker inquiries, conducting property tours, refining lease proposals, negotiating lease documents, maintaining / updating our quarterly market data, and working with our in-house property management and project management teams. Cultivate strong relationships with the brokerage community, owners, tenants and other key industry professionals.
CRITICAL CHARACTER TRAITS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
: A minimum of two years of commercial real estate experience, ideally in investment management, investment banking, or capital markets brokerage. Strong proficiency in asset valuation analysis and financial modeling within Excel and Argus Enterprise. Candidates must be self-motivated, proactive / problem-solvers, entrepreneurial, and have a strong desire to learn. Only individuals with the highest personal character will be considered. High integrity, a desire to pursue excellence, a strong work ethic, a strong desire to serve others are prerequisites for consideration. Ability to adapt, prioritize, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate will be goal oriented and have excellent attention to detail.
