JOB DESCRIPTION
The Finance Manager is responsible for the overall financial operations at Lost Province Brewing Company, LLC (Lost Province). This position works closely with the Company CEO to manage Lost Province finances. The person must have a solid background in accounting and will handle cash disbursements, cash receipts, inventory, payroll, and bank reconciliation. The person will be responsible for preparing monthly financial statements.

POSITION REPORTS TO CEO JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1
) Financial Policy and Procedure Development Develop financial operating policy and procedures in consultation with CEO and company accountant Set up QuickBooks to manage company finances in consultation with CEO and company accountant 2) Cash Disbursements – Accounts Payable Review invoices, code to appropriate account, pay invoices Review daily requests for checks, code to appropriate account, receive approval, write checks Reconcile monthly bank statements and credit cards statements 3) Cash Receipts – Accounts Receivable Record and deposit all income, including cash and credit card payments in QB 4) Payroll Review and enter bi-weekly time sheets into QB, code to appropriate accounts, complete payroll Track and reconcile employee benefits Reconcile and make biweekly tax payments Reconcile and prepare quarterly tax and unemployment reports Reconcile and file annual W-2 tax statements Reconcile and file FUTA and SUTA 5) Cash Flow Management Watch cash flow, making payments only when cash allows Make every effort to keep vendor accounts in good standing 6) Budgets, Billings, Financial Statements, Audit Assist in preparing annual reports Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including P & L report and Balance Sheet Assist with annual tax returns (performed by CPA) 7) Debt Management Manage and pay all debt payments on or before due date Develop a debt repayment plan with CEO 8) Oversee Inventory Control Maintain Inventory List of all equipment and purchases Assist the CEO in the acquisition of major purchases Obtain competitive quotes for major purchases Assist with the coding of all purchases by class
SUPERVISION
The Finance Manager works independently in planning and executing daily activities. This position requires an individual that is self-directed, organized and has financial management skills. The primary supervisor for this position is the company CEO. Supervision is available as needed and to discuss specific situations. The CEO will work closely with the Finance Manager. Performance is reviewed through observation, monitoring of records and documents, and job performance reviews.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or a related field Minimum of 3-5 years related work experience
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work well with others and to be a team player Self-directed, highly motivated, reliable Organized, good writing, verbal skills and math skills Ability to work independently Understanding of budgets and financial statements
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGES
Proficient in using QuickBooks and excel spreadsheets Restaurant or retail experience Payroll experience If you work 32 hours or more per week in this role, you will be eligible for the benefits listed. Salary is based on experience.
