Job Summary Responsible for managing financial clearance processes to ensure patients are financially cleared for services. Oversees pre-registration, insurance verification, and financial counseling functions to optimize revenue cycle performance and enhance patient experience. Does this position require Patient Care?
No Qualifications Essential Functions:
- Leads the financial clearance team, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance.
- Oversees pre-registration and insurance verification processes to ensure timely and accurate patient information.
- Implements and monitors policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
- Collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to resolve financial clearance issues that impact patient care or billing.
- Analyzes financial clearance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements.
- Ensures patients receive clear and accurate information regarding their financial responsibilities and available resources.
- Manages financial counseling services to assist patients with insurance enrollment and payment options.
- Develops and delivers training programs to enhance staff knowledge of insurance guidelines and billing practices.
Education Bachelor’s Degree Healthcare Administration required or Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration required or Bachelor’s Degree Related Field of Study required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
