Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager of Revenue & Billing to join our dynamic corporate team in Jersey City, where we have a flexible hybrid work model. This role is pivotal in assisting with the operations and performance of the billing team, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional environment. Minimum 5 years of accounts receivables/billing Proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel Bachelor’s degree: Accounting preferred PeopleSoft/Oracle experience a plus Willing to work as a both process expert and people supervisor Excellent attention to detail Works well in a team environment Analytical thinking and attention to details #LI-LM03 #LI-Hybrid Overseeing operations and work performance within the billing team Responsible monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual invoicing Frequent contacts to the various business units to clarify billing allocations and contract questions, as well as requests from client services teams with prompt replies. Responsible for handling customer inquiries and providing resolution. Review existing processes with a focus on standardizing Recommending improvements in processes to increase the effectiveness of operations Supporting management with ad hoc activities Active participation in the implementation of new accounting software, including providing input, testing functionalities, and identifying potential improvements, Being a first point of escalation for billing team Monitoring and improving team member knowledge and filling the gaps Analyzing data to identify and solve complex problems Critical thinking skills and demonstrated ability to use own judgment and make sound decisions Ability to work in a fast-paced, professional environment Values a diverse and inclusive work environment Must be able to perform duties with or without standardized processes in place Able to reconcile revenue expectations vs. actuals on a monthly basis Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned Able to work with both internal and external audit groups
