Job Purpose The Director, Revenue Cycle Management isresponsible for managing all operational aspects of our ARoutsourcing engagements including overseeing their teams andmaintaining a positive relationship with their clients. Duties andResponsibilities Provide assistance/resolution to external andinternal client inquiries Prepare reports or logs as required Actas a technical expert in regards to financial class responsibility,to answer questions raised by clients and team members Maintain acurrent working knowledge of all healthcare related issues andregulations especially Government payors Responsible to report anydetected trends in payments or denials, as well as proceduralproblems, to the client. Recommendations regarding the correctionof these trends and/or problems should also be reported. Maintain aprofessional attitude and confidentiality at all times Learn andcomply with organizational and departmental policies and proceduresEstablish realistic goals and priorities concurrent withorganizational objectives Adhere to all company policies andprocedures including, but not limited to those identified withinthe Standards of Business Conduct and the Employee Handbook, as maybe amended from time to time. Adhere to all applicable laws andregulations and the company’s governance/compliance program.
Responsible for reporting violations of the company’s policies andprocedures, Standards of Business Conduct, governance program, lawsand regulations through the company’s Help Line or other mechanismthat may be available at the time of the violation. Assist withinternal control failure remediation efforts. Ensure concerns withinternal control design or performance and process changes thatimpact internal control execution are communicated to managementPossess a full and complete understanding of the internal controlrequirements within their area of ownership/responsibility.
Responsible and accountable for internal control implementation andperformance within their area of ownership/responsibility. Ensuresproper internal control change management protocol is followed andcommunicated. Responsible for ensuring that remote client access tois disabled for terminated or transferred employees when applicablein a timely fashion Understand and comply with Information Securityand HIPAA policies and procedures at all times and ensure alldirect reports are trained and in compliance of said policies andprocedures at all times Use, protect and disclose patients’protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with HealthInsurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards andenforce such for all direct reports Limit viewing of PHI to theabsolute minimum as necessary to perform assigned duties for yourrespective team Report any security or HIPAA violations or concernsfor your team to the HIPAA Officers in a timely fashionQualifications Bachelor’s Degree required 10 years minimumexperience in a physician/hospital business office setting orsimilar setting 7 years minimum experience managing physicianreceivables in an Acute care setting or equivalent Prior Managementexperience required Knowledge of governmental, legal and regulatoryprovisions related to collection activity Knowledge of insurancecompany practices regarding reimbursement Ability to work wellindividually and in a team environment Strong verbal and writtenskills in order to effectively communicate with patients,co-workers, insurance companies, hospital staff, and clients Mustbe reliable, responsible, goal oriented and flexible Excellentinterpersonal, communication and organizational skills WorkingConditions Occasional travel to client locations
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee isoccasionally required to move around the work area; Sit; performmanual tasks; operate tools and other office equipment such ascomputer, computer peripherals and telephones; extend arms; kneel;talk and hear.
