POSITION OVERVIEW

The Accounting Manager (Manufacturing) will oversee and manage the accounting department’s operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with accounting principles and company policies. This role involves supervising accounting staff, managing financial processes, and collaborating with other departments to support business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER

(MANUFACTURING):
The Accounting Manager (Manufacturing) will prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against budgets, and providing variance analysis.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and resolving discrepancies.
Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements. Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
Manage, train, and mentor accounting staff. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure departmental efficiency and accuracy.
The Accounting Manager (Manufacturing) will identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance financial operations and reporting.
Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER

(MANUFACTURING):
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisor role.
Manufacturing experience.
Experience managing a team.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER

(MANUFACTURING):
CPA is preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
