Accounting Manager/Supervisor Position Available In Nassau, New York

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Jericho, New York. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and a proven ability to lead and manage financial operations. The successful candidate will oversee key accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance within the dynamic real estate and property management industry.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with industry standards.
• Oversee billing and auditing processes to maintain consistency and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
• Manage and mentor a team of accounting staff, fostering growth and development.
• Monitor cash flow and financial transactions using tools like Kyriba and MRI.
• Conduct periodic reviews of accounting processes to identify and implement improvements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard financial assets and minimize risk. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and auditing functions.
• Familiarity with financial tools like Kyriba and MRI is highly desirable.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and inspire teams.
• Experience in the real estate or property management industry is a plus.
