Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage subsidy billing and collection for affordable housing units with diverse funding sources and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for all subsidy programsProcess monthly tenant billing including HAP, DRIE/SCRIE, Section 8, and other NYC-specific subsidiesReconcile subsidy payments and resolve discrepancies with government agenciesPrepare monthly financial reports detailing subsidy revenue streams and develop comprehensive analytics dashboards to track subsidy performance metricsCreate data-driven reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvementTimely completion of bank reconciliationsReview and validate tenant income certifications as they relate to billingAbly communicate to property managers on proper subsidy documentation proceduresServe as a financial analyst for several properties including providing monthly reporting and participating in the annual budget processPerform other duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
5-7 years of Accounting experience, real estate property management industry preferred.
Experience in Yardi required.
Affordable Housing and Subsidies experience is required Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related fieldExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel.
Leadership experience and the ability to effectively manage and develop a teamKnowledge of accrual basis a must.
Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with MS Excel and Word.
Strong organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
SALARY:
$90,000 – $110,000/Year
