Chief Financial Officer Organizational Overview:

Forward Leading IPA (FLIPA) is a nonprofit membership association of safety net providers working in partnership to provide the highest quality integrated healthcare to historically underserved populations in Upstate New York since 2017. FLIPA is renowned for its commitment to integrating primary care, behavioral health, and social care needs. Our growing membership serves individuals across Upstate NY and includes federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), behavioral health providers, and a rural health network consisting of eight county public health departments.

Job Summary:

The Financial Support Administrator will play a vital role in supporting the finance and claims and billing team by preparing invoices, analyzing financial data, preparing reports, performing bookkeeping functions, and assisting with claims processing. The position will be responsible for providing professional and timely fiscal administrative support to Forward Leading IPA (FLIPA) Finance Team.

FLIPA Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist the Senior Accountant with bookkeeping and accounts payable functions Assist the Claims and Billing Manager with claims processing and reporting Maintain financial data integrity and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, and other documents as necessary Work with providers to ensure financial and claims information is correct Assist with fiscal audit preparation Preparing and distributing financial reports Administrative assistance with development of financial policies and procedures Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience required Minimum 3 years of similar experience

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities :

Excellent writing and organizational skills Proficient with utilizing accounting systems (e.g. Quickbooks, Blackbaud) Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Teams Flexible, adaptable style that takes in stride last minute changes and project pivots and thrives on creative problem-solving. Able to work quickly and efficiently Strong interpersonal skills, independently resourceful and thrives in a fully remote environment Demonstrated communication skills Information gathering and monitoring skills Problem analysis and problem-solving skills Sound judgment and decision-making ability Initiative to complete projects and tasks independently Attention to detail and accuracy

Confidentiality Salary Range:

$60,000 – $70,000 commensurate to education and experience.

This position will be remote with limited in-person meetings
