Job Description
Description We are looking for a dedicated Project Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee financial operations for construction projects at a dynamic company in Wexford, Pennsylvania. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending on-site collaboration with remote flexibility. Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including WIP, time and material billing, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Utilize Foundations construction accounting software to track, analyze, and report project financial data effectively.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, company policies, and audit requirements, including work-in-progress evaluations.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to align financial strategies and address emerging issues.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, such as job cost analyses and profit margin assessments, for senior management.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize accounting workflows and enhance software utilization.
- Act as a key point of contact for financial inquiries related to construction projects, fostering clear communication across departments. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in project accounting, preferably within the construction or engineering industries.
- Proficiency in Foundations (preferred not required) construction accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex financial problems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with construction industry financial processes, including work-in-progress reports and cost tracking.
- Ability to work on-site three days a week and remotely for two days in a hybrid model.
