Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager Supervise andmanage the daily activities of the accounting department, includingaccounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy andtimeliness. Prepare and review financial statements in accordancewith GAAP (or IFRS, if applicable). Develop and maintain internalcontrols to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
Coordinate with external auditors and manage annual audit process.
Analyze financial data and performance to identify trends, risks,and opportunities. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, andfinancial planning. Support implementation and optimization ofaccounting systems and processes. Train, mentor, and evaluateaccounting staff performance. Ensure compliance with local, state,and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Preferred Qualifications of the Accounting Manager Bachelor’sdegree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA stronglypreferred). 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with atleast 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of accountingprinciples and financial reporting. Proficiency in accountingsoftware and Microsoft Excel. Excellent leadership, communication,and interpersonal skills. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP,NetSuite, or Oracle. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations andbest practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
The Accountant role is fully onsite in Uniontown, OH with a salaryrange of $80,000 to $100,000 depending on experience.
