ALLENTOWN, PA OR PROVIDENCE, RI
- LI-Hybrid #INDPPL Leads team of professionals responsible for regulatory reporting requirements for PPL Corporation and its subsidiaries including PPL Electric Company (PPL Electric), Louisville Gas and Electric Company (LG&E), Kentucky Utilities Company (KU), and Rhode Island Energy (RIE).
This includes the completion of regulatory reporting requirements of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and applicable state agencies in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Rhode Island. Establishes effective internal controls over regulatory reporting. Assists in providing support for rate and other regulatory proceedings. Responsibilities + Lead team of accountants in various job duties including leading the preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports with the FERC and various state commissions. + Support rate and regulatory teams in rate proceedings or other miscellaneous regulatory matters. + Supervise and manage the accurate and timely implementation of new regulatory accounting orders and other technical issues, including the review and/or writing of technical memorandum and whitepapers, as applicable. + Maintain a competent, highly motivated, effectively utilized staff through proper training and development, appraisals, timely feedback, fair compensation practices, as well as by establishing and monitoring adherence to policies and procedures. + If applicable physical presence in the office/on-site to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers. + Support of and involvement in EEI accounting teams, committees and task forces to ensure PPL influences their efforts. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Complies with all policies and standards. REQUIRED EDUCATION
- : + Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or business discipline.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- : + 5+ years of accounting experience with extensive knowledge of GAAP and utility accounting requirements. + Knowledge of regulatory accounting under ASC 980. + Knowledge of FERC Uniform System of Accounts. + Effective leadership, interpersonal and communications skills. + Working knowledge of computer systems and applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- : + CPA, MBA or other advanced accounting or business degree. + Experience in accounting and/or reporting for regulated utilities.
