The Financial Services Industry (“FSI”) Practice Group Vice President is a primary subject matter expert (SME) for the Financial Services industry, including all aspects of industry trends, client demand drivers, technology, and current business transformation initiatives in support of Robert Half Operating Model (i.e., Salesforce) in the Financial Services industry. The “FSI” Practice Group Vice President will be responsible for identifying and educating the field teams on Business Opportunities and Trends within the Financial Services industry, and also share best practices and performance enhancements, in an effort to support the growth of market share. The “FSI” Practice Group vice president will work consultatively with senior field management, at the direction of the Executive Director. The “FSI” Practice Group Vice President may travel up to 30- 50% of their time within the North American branch network focusing on key Financial Services markets as directed by the Executive Director. As a Financial Services expert, the VP will focus on working with field teams to increase branch effectiveness through analysis of the Practice Group operational and technology trends to provide guidance and support on key focus areas by executing operational best practices to drive business results. This position is primarily designed to be a rotational position. However, depending on the Practice Group, the rotational nature of the role could vary based on business demands. Key Responsibilities Proactively research and identify Financial Services industry trends and business opportunities in the marketplace across all Talent Solutions Practice Groups and technology platforms, including current and upcoming regulations affecting the industry. Translate research data into actionable insights and recommendations for the field teams. Provide regular and timely updates on trends and business opportunities in the Financial Services industry to the Executive Directors and Talent Solutions Field Leadership Work with senior field leadership and the Executive Director on marketing and growth strategies for the “FSI” Practice Group. Communicate and support the “FSI” Practice Group specific strategies to our Talent Solutions teams. Analyze operational results, industry trends and best practices and make recommendations to ED and Sr. Field Leadership on the operating model, new service extensions or technology opportunities to promote growth and innovation. Gather, analyze, and implement best practices across the “FSI” practice group. Participate in operational, technology and training task forces, as assigned by the Executive Director. Partner with Field Learning team and help develop “FSI” Practice Group relevant training content, as directed by the Executive Director based on agreed upon priorities. In conjunction with local management, work with Executive Director and HR on retention and performance coaching, communicating expectations and measuring performance ramp up. Identify action steps and support needed to increase performance and support the ramping up of new hires within the first year. Evaluate “FSI” Practice Group results to identify opportunities to provide value through guidance and consultation. Adopt, promote, and display a consultative approach when supporting field managers and “FSI” Practice Group staff, determining objectives prior to engaging with the branch staff. Identify Branches and Practices that require additional support and guidance to achieve target. Develop a plan; discuss, agree, and execute the strategy with local leadership. Determine whether support should be virtual or in-person. Identify underdeveloped companies, territories or industries and develop a plan to increase market penetration. Provide guidance on best practices for recruiting and desk efficiency, including recruiting sources, interviewing strategies, and job order control. Actively participate in client visits and interviews with Talent Solutions professionals during the branch visits. Reinforce the hiring model for “FSI” Practice Group Talent Solutions professionals and Practice Directors by disseminating best practices for recruiting and hiring staff members. Working in conjunction with field management, coordinate and execute business development and recruiting blitz activities utilizing Robert Half’s best practices and industry trends. Promotes and supports an inclusive work environment where diversity and inclusion are championed. Qualifications 2+ years experience as a high performing, high potential Talent Solutions professional Strong knowledge and understanding of the Financial Services Industry Up to 50% travel may be required, dependent upon company policy and federal, state, and local guidelines Excellent communication and collaboration skills Practical knowledge of Practice Group operations and tools Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and coach others Self-starter with initiative and drive Demonstrated presentation skills with both small and large groups Strong knowledge and understanding of current technology and business transformation initiatives, with ability to act as a subject matter expert Critical thinking skills Demonstrated ability to identify and perform a competitive analysis, utilizing data and metrics, communicate insights and trends and make a data driven recommendation a plan to move forward. Extensive knowledge of industry, competitors, and internal RH operations. Proven experience managing in a matrixed environment, with ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally with leaders and partners at all levels. Demonstrated ability to communicate and implement plan with a passion for clients, customers, employees, and operational excellence. Builds relationships to align efforts with internal partners (LOBs, Strategic Accounts, Protiviti), including global teams. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills. Able to work strategically and hands-on Salary The typical salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000. The salary is negotiable depending upon experience and location.
