Schedule:
M-F; onsite Our client has 25 companies with various real estate holdings such as warehouses, commercial buildings and rental houses. They are looking for a solid Accounting professional to assist the Controller in accounting for the properties and move to into the Controller role upon the incumbents retirement.
What you get to do:
Maintain general ledgers and perform account recons and journal entries
Daily cash management including monitoring bank accounts and moving funds between companies as necessary
Review/process AP in a timely manner
Financial reporting for Ownership group
Month-end and year-end closing coordination
Prepare necessary workpapers and info to external tax firm for tax reporting
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor’s in Accounting
5+ years of relevant experience
Background with closely-held, private entities
Real estate industry experience a plus
Quickbooks experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Impeccable morals and confidentiality
