Description Our client in the financial services industry is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team in Columbia, South Carolina. In this role, you will handle various financial reporting tasks for loan portfolios, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, and support of budget and forecast activities. You will also work closely with CPAs to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the general ledger structure to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Oversee monthly and year-end financial closing processes
- Handle weekly and monthly financial information reporting for credit unions
- Carry out daily banking requirements with accuracy and efficiency
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities to support financial planning
- Collaborate with CPAs for a seamless year-end audit process
- Contribute to the development and implementation of procedures and features to improve departmental workflow
- Use QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Word to streamline accounting processes Requirements
- Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of accounting management
- Mastery of financial reporting is required
- Proficiency in financial statement preparation is a must
- Solid experience in financial analysis is essential
- Familiarity with month end close procedures is required
- Proficiency in managing general ledger activities is necessary
- Experience in preparing and reviewing journal entries is mandatory
