The Ar ea Director of Revenue Management has a love of numbers and embodies a keen sense of problem solving to ensure guests trends and analytics are met to drive revenues for the commercial strategies in place. This person is a chameleon and has the ability to quickly change directions as the market trends shift. The primary responsibility of this position is analysis of revenue maximization efforts for all revenue streams of the hotel and its experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and implement operational and strategic revenue management initiatives across the portfolio. Optimize revenue across all market segments through data-driven pricing strategies and segmentation analysis. Develop, implement, and monitor rate strategies in alignment with market demand and company objectives. Respond proactively to market shifts by creating and executing tactical action plans. Manage inventory controls and restrictions, adjusting availability and allotments as needed. Maximize RevPAR through detailed analysis of historical trends and forward-looking demand forecasts. Monitor forecast accuracy regularly; coordinate training sessions and discussions to improve results. Maintain a deep understanding of local and national economic conditions and their impact on travel behavior. Provide strategic support to Sales and Marketing to align initiatives with revenue goals. Conduct regular meetings with revenue team leaders to ensure alignment and understanding of strategic focus Travel regularly to properties to gain firsthand insights into market dynamics, property positioning, challenges, and opportunities.
Requested Capabilities:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Director of Revenue Management within a hotel or hotel group. Proven experience with inventory management systems and revenue optimization tools. Demonstrated team leadership and management capabilities. Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple high-impact tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to travel independently via airplane, car, or car service, and stay in hotels as required by the role. Willingness and ability to comply with all Makeready Travel Policies and Procedures. Ability to sit for extended periods in an office or remote work setting. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Preferred:
Prior experience with Opera, IHotelier, and IDeaS systems. Commitment to following all Makeready and property-specific policies and procedures.
