This role is hybrid, requiring you to report on-site to our Nashville office location a minimum of 2 days per week. Your Role You are a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Manager that will support the financial operations of our fabrication and graphics operations. Reporting to the US VP, Finance, you will be a key partner to the operations team, providing financial insights, analysis, and reporting to support strategic decision-making and drive operational efficiency within the fabrication and graphics production operations and facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and manufacturing finance.

Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:

Develop and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production costs, labor efficiency, material usage, and overhead. Provide insightful financial analysis to the operations team, highlighting trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks. Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as needed to support business decisions.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Lead the annual budgeting process for the manufacturing/fabrication business, working closely with operations management to develop realistic and achievable targets. Develop and maintain rolling forecasts, incorporating changes in production schedules, material costs, and other relevant factors. Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to management, explaining variances and recommending corrective actions.

Cost Accounting and Inventory Management:

Maintain and improve the cost accounting system, ensuring accurate tracking of direct labor, direct materials, and manufacturing overhead. Analyze production costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses and improve profitability. Oversee the inventory management process, including valuation, cycle counts, and reconciliation, ensuring accurate inventory records and minimizing obsolescence. Develop and monitor standard costs for manufactured goods.

Capital Expenditure Analysis:

Evaluate capital expenditure proposals for new equipment or facility improvements, providing financial justification and return on investment analysis. Track capital project spending and ensure adherence to budget.

Business Partnering:

Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the operations management team, providing financial guidance and support for strategic initiatives. Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and project management, to ensure financial alignment and efficiency. Develop a strong understanding of the manufacturing and fabrication processes to provide relevant and impactful financial insights.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. MBA, CPA or CMA certification preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with a strong focus on manufacturing or cost accounting. Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and cost accounting principles. Experience with inventory management and valuation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
