Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the Trans & Fleet teams to drive accountability in financial ownership; ease of reporting, variance analytics, budget/forecasting processes. Must be able to identify and communicate drivers of the business with ease and clarity. Design and maintain complex financial models (Anaplan, Oracle, 1010 data, Excel) such as short term & long term models, scenario building, profitability analytics. Identifies and executes upon process improvement opportunities. Demonstrates proficiency of technical tools and financial systems. Manage analyst (or Sr Analyst) on the Trans Finance team to execute weekly deliverables and period-close deliverables. Facilitate the budget/forecasting process, including documentation of assumptions, gathering of inputs, validation, and reporting of results. Have thorough understanding of variances (waterfalls) and be able to identify risks & opportunities to the budget/forecast. Facilitate production of VP & EVP-level reporting of operating results. Understand and track Supply Chain capital requirements, budgeting, forecasting; including usage of IRR models. Partners with DG’s FP&A capital team on a regular basis to discuss capital updates and outlays. Assist with ad hoc analyses and projects as requested; assist other areas of Supply Chain finance team as needed. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to summarize data into reports/presentations for senior management. Knowledge or experience in Transportation, Distribution, or other Supply Chain discipline (3+ years preferred). Knowledge of GAAP. Ability to organize, prioritize, and to be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Creative ability to access information from different sources and pull it together for analyses and presentations. Ability to meet deadlines. Detail-oriented – must be able to detect errors and identify trends. Ability to thoroughly understand how decisions affect other areas of the company. Intermediate to advanced spreadsheet and database applications skills.

Work Experience &/or Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration (Finance or Accounting) or Data/Analytics preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
